(Sept 19)In Georgia, Governor Sonny Perdue (R), the first Republican governor of that state since since Benjamin F. Conley served during Reconstruction in the 1870s, ordered the state not to issue any more contracts to ACORN.

UPDATE Sept 22 - Louisiana has cut off all funding for ACORN. (Reported Sept 22, but the Governor sent out the executive order last week.) Jindal has also prohibited any state entity from entering into an agreement with ACORN or its subsidiaries.
