Tough guy Hiram Monserrate is on trial for assault for flying into a jealous rage last Dec. 19 and cutting his girlfriend's face with a broken water glass.The girlfriend, an Equadorian, is refusing to cooperate with authorities. The manhandling was captured on a building security camera. The video was shown in the courtroom.
Monserrate is a New York state Senator.
