Hartford Quickly Sells $12 Million In Tax Liens
More than half of the liens sold were valued at under $3,500,
Including a lien on the home former City Manager after being late on about $3,600 in 2007 real estate taxes.
The city's director of grant's management, Miguel Matos, who makes $93,000 a year - owed $2600 - had his tax lien sold. Also owing: former state Rep. Clyde Billington, who owes on various properties.

WATERBURY, CT: (Sept 1) Former Aide Of Philip Giordano Gets Fine, Probation
Thomas M. Ariola Jr., Giordano's budget director and chief fiscal officer for the city's Department of Education, pleaded guilty in 2005. Giordano was sentenced to 37 years and a concurrent 18-year state sentence for multiple counts of first-degree sexual assault and conspiracy.
