Vets are outraged that Lynndie England is scheduled to appear at the Library of Congress on Friday to speak at the Library of Congress Professional Association’s Veterans Forum.
England is infamous for the picture of her holding a leash attached to an Iraqi prisoner. She was one of 11 military personnel convicted in 2005 on charges related to the abuse of prisoners held at Abu Ghraib. She served nineteen months in prison for her part in the abuse orchestrated by her boyfriend. He is serving 10 years.
The Library of Congress appearance in the James Madison Building is part of a book signing tour to promote the book, "TORTURED: Lynndie England, Abu Ghraib and the Photographs that Shocked the World" by Gary S. Winkler.

Bad apple seems to be an apt description for the subject of the biography.
