Running Scared
There's a pattern to their deceptions

At the Alhambra, Calif., Townhall on Healthcare Reform, Rep. Adam Schiff D-Ca (shown right) wasn't taking chances. The moderator was an NBC health doctor and the five panelists gave anecdotal speeches. No questions were allowed. Schiff allowed only a few questions from the crowd of 3,000, but the few he accepted, he flubbed badly. (Although you wouldn't know it from this writeup.)

Be sure to see the photo album of the meeting at the Pasadena Star-News. Photo 4 is especially poignant with young black children holding up pre-printed signs. The caption is simplistic and utter hogwash. "Young and old show their support during a town hall meeting with Congressman Adam Schiff, D-Pasadena Rep of the 29th district on health care reform outside of Alhambra Civic Center on Tuesday August 11, 2009 in Alhambra ,Ca."

Isn't that a kumbayah moment?

In Texas, Sheila Jackson was sharply criticized for not publicizing a meeting. The Houston Chronicle still has not corrected their story that involved an Obama volunteer who posed as a physician.
One supporter, Dr. Roxana Mayer, a physician who does not live in Jackson Lee's district, praised the reform plan for overhauling a broken system.
Bloggers immediately noticed something was wrong and discovered that Mayer wasn't a doctor. She's a graduate student in social work, and when questioned, she admitted the deception in a phone interview. The reporter knew in advance that Mayer was a state delegate for Obama as well as an organizer.

The Chronicle has since corrected the caption under the picture of Jackson and Mayer hugging. Now she's just plain Roxana Mayer.

The second plant was an office manager for the Obama campaign. The one who used to have a Che Guevera flag on her wall.

The Chronicle has not corrected the story nor admitted the fraud by their own reporter. But then, the folks at the Chron have something of a track record of misinformation, as blogHOUSTON.net knows.

The media continues their campaign of misdirection and disinformation. The Pols, however, seem to be running scared.

NEW: And that 11-year-old girl who was "randomly" picked to ask a question at Obama's New Hampshire townhall meeting? The fact that mother worked as an Obama organizer was just, well, a coincidence to the media. The girl attended the Easter Egg hunt at the White House. That's how connected Mom is.
