The Great One is following in the footsteps of other self-congratulating socialists who prolong their speeches to the point of coercion. Hugo Chavez frequently speaks for five or six hours. Fidel Castro holds the Guinness Book of Records title for the longest speech ever delivered at the United Nations: 4 hours and 29 minutes, on September 29, 1960. Not his longest speech by three hours.
"Muammar Gaddafi's personal translator broke down towards the end of the Libyan leader's meandering 94-minute UN speech and had to be rescued by a UN Arabic speaker." (Times UK)
So The Great One's 17-minute answer to health-care question in N.C. shouldn't come as a surprise. The criticism of "the great elaborator" by the Washington Post did.
Why, you might ask, do tinpot socialists love the sound of their own voices? The reason is without doubt because they don't have to convince anyone. The Socialist Leader's Will will be done. It only remains to touch up the historical record. Think of it as a self-published history on a weekly basis. They just can't say enough good about themselves.
