IS HE, OR ISN'T HE?
This would not be a story except that the media resented the fact that:
A) he was Republican, and B) he is a conservative from a conservative district, and; C) he voted against "gay rights." Hence, the headlines.
March 5 - On yesterday's TODAY briefs at this website, I mentioned Calif. state Sen. Roy Ashburn and the BAD HEADLINE that called him anti-gay after he was found coming out of a gay bar with an unidentified male. The stop was for drunk driving.
Openly gay West Sacramento Mayor Christopher Cabaldo says he has he's seen Ashburn regularly at gay bars. Mayor Cabaldo posted on the topic on his FaceBook page six months ago. CBS 13 video.
a What we Californians have learned is that most politicians in this state are bi-parties. They can be bought by either side and everyone else in between. Isn't surprising that they are bi-sexual as well. Fidelity isn't a big thing to the Political Class Establishment.
UPDATE March 8 - Ashburn confirms he is gay. He is the divorced father of four.
