Today. And it's not over yet.

IT'S JUST DEARBORN, MI
The capital of the U.S. Muslim nation. In the 2000 census, Arab Americans comprised 30% of Dearborn's population. (Source) It's equivalent to the way Muslims move into failed nation states. So you pretty much expect it when 15 Arab-American students at Edsel Ford High School show up at school after Christmas wearing a hooded sweatshirt with the number 11 made to look like the Twin Towers. With the message "You can't bring us down."

The eagle is the school mascot aimed at the buildings.

The amazing part is that the principal confiscated the sweatshirts.

BANNING VEILS BRINGS PROTESTS
When the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences established a policy banning people from covering their faces on its three campuses, protests were immediate. From the Washington-based Council on American-Islamic Relations. The problem is there are only two students on the three campuses who would be affected and they agreed to the restrictions.

In 2008, American citizen and pharmacist Tarek Mehanna, 27, a graduate of the school living with his parents in a wealthy suburb, was arrested for conspiring to attack civilians at a shopping mall, American soldiers abroad and two members of the executive branch of the federal government. His father is a professor of medicinal chemistry at the school.

UPDATE (JAN 8) - The college backed down and approved an exemption on religious grounds. (And after "Muslim civil liberties group asked the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission to investigate whether it was illegal for the college to ban face coverings, under federal law that bans employment discrimination.") In France, they are considering fines for women who wear a veil.

MALE PROSTITUTION NOW LEGAL
In Nevada. Nye County officials agreed to let Shady Lady Ranch near Death Valley hire men as Nevada's first legal male sex workers. In other news, the same officials agreed to renew the license of a convicted brother owner. His crime? Bribing a county commissioner in hopes of expanding his sex business empire.
Label: Lets hope AIDS stays in Nevada, too

WHO KNEW
that cheerleading was "one the most dangerous sports ?"

ANOTHER LOSER GOING, GOING, GONE
Talkshow hosts Ken and John are celebrating Big Time. Assemblyman Anthony Adams, R-Claremont, won't be running again. Despite a pledge not to increase taxes, he voted in February for a state budget package that included more than $12 billion in tax increases. He was censured by the Republican Party.

FIRE SALE
All those H1N1 swine flu vaccines are just hanging around. In Canada, they are going to "lend" 5 million doses to Mexico. Canada ordered 50.4 million doses from GlaxoSmithKline. Europe is selling off their excess vaccines ordered from GlaxoSmithKline. France spent $1.25 billion dollars on the vaccines. They are hawking theirs all over the globe. Germany wants to return excess vaccines. The so-called Swine Flu turned out to be "less virulent" than expected. It lacked the "killer traits of 1918 Epidemic." (The vaccine also had serious side effects that made sensible citizens ignore the hysteria.)
