WHAT CAN YOU DO TO HELP THE PRESIDENT?

HOPE

BIG BROTHER IS ALWAYS BUSY

ATTENTION PARENTS: President Obama will speak with all children in their classrooms on September 8.

BE PREPARED: Document from U.S. Education Department

I especially like the suggestion that children "write letters to themselves about what they can do to help the president."

The idea creeps out Examiner.com writer D.K. Jamaal. And Gateway Pundit parodies the extraordinary action.

One (so-far) unreported and unpunished poster responded, "Armbands will be distributed....as will a checklist so you can rat on your parents for say anyting "fishy" things about health care reform or for failing to recycle."

"Keep your kids home" is the advice of blogger Dana Loesch.
I wouldn’t have such a problem with the Department of Education were this presented in a non-Orwellian fashion. Oh yes, it is, as the lesson plan directs, to listen to what the president, the mayor, et al. says, to respect their “authoritah” , but there is no emphasis in here on why the president and other elected officials should listen to US. The focus is solely on authority. There is no consideration given to the authority of the American people.
-----------------------
- Believe.
- Report anything "fishy."
- Tell us who said it.
- Everyone needs to be recorded.
- Parents aren't always right.
- Teach children to love.
- Teach children to obey.
- There's only hope in government.
- Dissent is evil.
