People get the politicians they tolerate

Liberals think they have moral superiority. You wonder why they would think anything like that.

If we had an unbiased press instead of a one-party press, there would be outrage that the Massachusetts House voted Thursday (95-58) to give Governor Deval Patrick the power to appoint a temporary replacement to the US Senate for the late Edward M. Kennedy.

When Senator John Kerry was running in 2004, Dems in Massachusetts were afraid that then-Governor Mitt Romney might get to appoint his temporary replacement. So they changed the law.

Now, they're changing it again so a Democrat governor can appoint a replacement. One wily Democrat said she voted to prevent Romney appointing an Interim to fill the seat, "but the 2004 law, she explained, created another problem: there is a gap between the time of the incumbent's death and the special election to to fill the seat."

You just know the A-holes in Massachusetts will vote for State Rep. Ruth Balser again.
"I took the position then, and I stand by it now, that it was the right thing to do regardless of the party in power.''
The Senate vote is expected next week. Republicans command just five of the 40 Senate seats.
