The New York Times-owned Boston Globe and the Worcester Telegram & Gazette, are on the market. The best bid so far for both papers is $35 million.

Whoever buys the paper will have to assume $59 million in pension liabilities for the papers. The Times bought the papers for $1.1 billion in 1993.
