Australian Surprise
No Cap and Trade

In a surprise move, the Australian parliament by a vote of 42 to 30 blocked the government-backed carbon trading scheme.
The government-backed plan would force the country's 1,000 worst polluters to buy carbon dioxide permits, covering 75 per cent of national emissions, in an attempt to cut greenhouse gas emissions by 5 to 25 per cent by 2020.
-----------------------
Whether you believe that human activity causes global warming and that the reduction of carbon emissions is feasible by selling emission credits for forests in one country, for example, to a gross polluter in another country, makes sense or not, is immaterial. Governments intend to pass such legislation, with or without your support, but mostly without your knowledge.

For two reasons: One, it's an international tax with the regulatory body in France. And, two, the funds will be completely untraceable. A boon to every corrupt politician on the planet.

Some of the carbon emission schemes give you an idea of the looniness.
